Kick-off Meeting (Jan 30th, 2026)

The kick-off meeting of the European project LIFE LULUCF ATLAS was successfully held at the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems, Hellenic Agricultural Organization “Dimitra”, in Athens, January 30th 2026, marking the official start of the project’s implementation phase. All project partners actively participated, presenting their roles, responsibilities and planned contributions. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to align on the project objectives, methodology, timeline and management procedures.

Project Launch (Jan 1st, 2026)

We are pleased to announce the launch of LIFE LULUCF ATLAS, a European project addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation in Greece and Bulgaria by improving governance in the land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) sector. The project brings together 7 partners from national public authorities, universities, research organizations, and SME to enhance the monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) system for the national GHG reporting, in line with EU Regulation 2018/841, 2018/1999 and 2023/839. The project kick-off meeting will take place in Athens on 30 January 2026.

LIFE24 Climate Action Welcome Meeting (Oct 21st, 2025)

The LIFE LULUCF Atlas was presented during the thematic session on Climate Action at the LIFE 24 Welcome Meeting on 21 October 2025. This annual event, organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), brings together successful LIFE programme applicants and provides valuable networking opportunities.
