moja global & DUTH Partner on Open-Source MRV (Feb 23rd, 2026)

LIFE LULUCF ATLAS partner Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with moja global, as announced on moja global’s LinkedIn page and reposted here.

moja global will work with DUTH’s Department of Forestry and Management of the Environment and Natural Resources (FMENR) to enhance the Greek monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) system for the land-use and forestry sector, utilising moja global’s open-source tools for more accurate, transparent and forward-looking climate data.

“This partnership will increase Greece’s ability to better understand past land-sector emissions and explore future scenarios with confidence,” said Asger Strange Olesen, Co-Director of moja global’s Management Board. “When countries can model how land-sector choices affect greenhouse gas sinks and sources, they can make smarter climate decisions. We’re proud to be supporting these ambitions with the FLINT platform by partnering with FMENR.”
