22nd Annual LULUCF Workshop, Copenhagen

Despoina Vlachaki had the opportunity to present the Life LULUCF Atlas project at the 22nd annual LULUCF workshop on land use, land-use change and forestry, which took place over two days in Copenhagen, co-organised by the EEA and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.

The workshop brought together practitioners, inventory compilers and members of the scientific community from across Europe to share knowledge and collectively improve how we measure — and manage — Europe’s most important carbon sinks.

The conference room was packed, and there was a lot of excitement around two new launches: the EEA GHG Knowledge Hub and a new initiative from the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (Copernicus Land Service and In-Situ), providing data and spatial information on different land-use categories that will support greenhouse gas reporting.
